Prayer to Know One’s Vocation

Kind, gentle Clare, saint after the most meek and humble heart of Jesus, you followed in an exemplary way the Poor Crucified Christ and manifested heroic and perfect fidelity to your vocation in life. Look with favor on me, Mother of all in need, as I labor in this uncertainty.

Obtain for me the grace to know God’s will for my life, and knowing it, to overcome all obstacles and the courage and perseverance to faithfully accomplish it.

O glorious St. Clare, as Jesus was the vision ever present to the eyes of your soul; from Whose cross you learned the art of suffering; from Whose Gospel you gleaned the light of Truth and the ways of Wisdom; and from Whose Eucharistic Presence you gained the strength to love Him to the end, obtain for me such knowledge, light, and strength as will keep me faithful to His grace, that in all things I may seek only what pleases Him, my God and my All. Amen!
